Workshop Facilities and Resources
There are two workshop areas in the department to support labs and projects that are the responsibility of the Technical Officer. On each of the 4th and 5th floors, the technical support staff occupy a work area that is accessible to the students during normal working hours. Students are encouraged to draw on the expertise of this staff and to seek their help when required. If the students need resources "beyond the normal" i.e. special parts, several hours of technician time, etc. then approval by the Technical Officer is required.
