shirinian-l@rmc.caLorne Shirinian is a Professor in the Department of English. He was born in Toronto and did undergraduate work in French Language and Literature at the University of Toronto. He did an MA in Comparative Literature at Carleton University and received his PhD in Comparative Literature from l’Université de Montréal. His principal field of research has been the way Armenian diaspora literature has responded to the Armenian genocide, exile and questions of identity. Lorne Shirinian is also a poet, playwright, screenwriter and author.
His present research projects involve the writing of a memoir titled Recovering Their History and a play titled Monumental.
