Jane McGaughey, Ph.D.Adjunct Professor

Jane McGaughey received her BA and MA in British and European history from the University of Toronto and completed her Ph.D. in history at Birkbeck College, University of London in 2008. Her doctoral thesis explored ideas of masculinity and militarization in Northern Ireland during the period of the Great War and the Troubles and is being revised for publication as a monograph. Her current research involves the relationship between masculinity and the cultural identity of veterans from the Royal Newfoundland Regiment in the years after the Great War.
