Dr. St. John has a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology. He has held academic appointments at the University of Western Ontario, Royal Roads Military College, where he was head of department for 4 years, and currently is an associate professor at RMC. His research interests include sensation and perception, visual dysfunction, and human factors in engineering and ergonomics. He does basic research in the field of visual information processing and transmission in the nervous system, with particular emphasis on cross-callosal transmission and hemispheric asymmetries. His work involves basic psychophysics in normal subjects as well as examining the visual systems of human albinos, and patients with various visual disorders.
