Indexes and Databases

Academic Search Premier (through CFVL): Academic Search Premier indexes over 8,000 scholarly publications, and provides full text for more than 4,450 of these titles, including 3,500 peer-reviewed journals. Features such as citation indexes are provided. Coverage spans every area of academic study and offers information dating as far back as 1975. This database is updated on a daily basis.
The ARTFL Project: This is the database of the ARTFL Project (Project for American and French Research on the Treasury of the French Language), a collaborative effort between the University of Chicago and the French government. The database contains nearly 2000 French language works of literature, non-fiction prose and technical writing from a variety of time periods.

Érudit: Érudit is a multi-institutional publishing consortium comprising the Université de Montréal, the Université Laval and the Université du Québec à Montréal. The Érudit platform provides access to several types of documents in the humanities and social sciences, as well as the natural science disciplines: academic journals, e-books, proceedings, theses and other documents and data.

Gallica (Bibliothèque nationale de France): Gallica is an online collection of over 90,000 digitalized works, 80,000 images and several sound recordings from the National Library of France. Various aspects of French culture and civilization are covered, such as literature, history, political science, economics, science, etc.
LION: Literature Online: Literature Online is a virtual library containing over 350,000 literary texts together with full-text journals, author biographies and other critical and reference resources.
MLA International Bibliography (Modern Language Association), 1926-: International bibliography of books, and index to over 4400 periodicals, covering various aspects of the world's modern languages and literatures, such as grammar, book reviews, authors, etc.
REPÈRE, 1980-: Index to 550 French language periodicals, including the full text for some articles, covering all subject areas, such as the arts, computer science, current events, economics, medicine, philosophy, politics, psychology, sociology, and sports.
